    Lisa Fountain

Lisa Fountain is the founder of Scarlett’s Closet, a nonprofit ministry based in Columbus, Georgia, that supports families with children who are unexpectedly hospitalized. A devoted wife to her husband Mark, Lisa is the proud mother of two sons and the loving grandmother of four precious granddaughters. Her life has been shaped by both profound joy and heartbreaking loss, experiences that fuel her deep compassion for others.

    Lisa's Story

In 2011, Lisa endured the unimaginable when her eldest granddaughter, Scarlett, passed away from cancer at just 21 months old. Out of this grief, Scarlett’s Closet was born—an organization created to bring comfort, care, and spiritual encouragement to families during medical crises. Through thoughtfully prepared care bags that include personal essentials, a journal, a pen, and a Bible, Lisa offers families both practical support and the reminder that they are not alone.

In 2018, Lisa published Courage and Red Wagon, a deeply personal book that chronicles her journey of faith, love, and healing. Her words have encouraged countless readers facing their own trials.

Since 2019, Lisa has devoted herself full-time to Scarlett’s Closet, speaking to women’s groups, churches, and organizations while actively growing the ministry’s outreach. Through every act of service, Lisa honors Scarlett’s memory and lives out her mission of being the hands and feet of Jesus to families in need.

A Quote by Lisa from Courage and Red Wagons

"I had no idea what God was about to do in my life, but one thing is for certain, when God calls you to do something and you take that first step of faith, you'd better hold on for the ride!"
